About Us
Our Beginnings
There I was, working in the kitchen at the American Academy of Rome, where Alice Waters had just finished creating a sustainable food program for the institution. The changes she created were transformative, and just like that, my career took a turn! I made my first film documenting Alice’s work. And with that experience came the realization that helping others share their stories through professional video storytelling could make a positive difference in the world.
Since 2011, One Hundred Seconds has partnered with over 200 clients, consisting of purpose-driven nonprofits, B Corps, and community-minded businesses, creating short films to shine a light on the good they’re doing in the world. And we have fun doing it!
The name One Hundred Seconds comes from our roots in short-form storytelling. While our videos are not bound to 100 seconds in length, we use that number as part of our ethos: being intentional and concise. Our signature style takes on a cinematic documentary approach that places real people at the heart of the story, creating authentic, emotionally resonant films.
