Process Video – Finding the Story with Nostrana

Making food videos is especially rewarding when we’re able to highlight a company’s method. The story of Nostrana begins in Joseph, Oregon, and follows one farmer’s potato crop from ground to gnocchi. Nostrana is an award-winning Portland restaurant that focuses on creating lovingly authentic Italian food made from local, honest ingredients. Their gnocchi is a popular house specialty served exclusively on Thursdays, and we made a step-by-step video showing where the gnocchi begins and ends.

When we make a video for restaurants and other industries, the concept can change as we learn more about the business. Although this started as a restaurant video, it quickly became apparent that what Nostrana is really about is the farmers producing the best ingredients, which are then crafted into exceptional food. Needless to say, this turned into a process video. The way this project developed is what we are all about in storytelling through video: finding the genuine story of a business and sharing it with the world.
