About Our Client
Sapphire Health Services’ healthcare communities span independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing centers. Their mission is to put people first. This means that the care of patients, trust-building of families, and sense of purpose for staff guide everything they do.
The Challenge
Sapphire came to us with a challenge: finding and retaining passionate staff. They have a reliable team, many of whom have grown with the company, and they wanted to attract the same mission-driven people.
They needed a series of testimonial videos, celebrating their staff across the Kitchen, Clinical, and Administrative departments, to use for internal culture building and external recruitment.
The Solution
We had discussions with Sapphire about the company’s values and the types of benefits provided to staff. This helped us identify the themes of Mission & Service, Growth & Opportunity, and Community & Culture. We decided breaking the videos into these themes would be the most impactful approach.
We listened to our client’s needs and objectives throughout the collaboration. We refined their interview questions to best convey their messaging and reach an emotional core that would resonate with their intended audience. We started each interview with music and a casual conversation and ended up using some of those authentic moments for a montage to begin the Community & Culture video.
We made sure to be flexible in our approach. There were limitations in what and where we could film. We found creative solutions through focusing on the daily upkeep, care, and teamwork that makes the facilities a comfortable and warm home for residents. We captured staff cooking together, sharing laughs, and collaborating, conveying how working with Sapphire is like being with family.
The Results
Staff had a blast making these videos with us. Sapphire hosted a screening for them, complete with movie snacks and thank you gifts for their participation.
Through listening, being flexible, and collaborating, we were able to provide a solution to Sapphire’s challenges. The videos celebrate staff, reflect their culture, and spotlight their sense of purpose.
